Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Downtown Disney, Portobello Restaurant, Celebrate the Magic, Electrical Parade, Wishes
We woke up around 7am and decided to do a bit of park hopping today and try and do things that we had previously missed out on. We got to Magic Kingdom around 9.30am and headed for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train this had a 75 min wait and the park had only been open half an hour. We decided that we would give that a miss and head somewhere else. We did Peter Pan Flight and then the Country Bear Jamboree this wasn’t quite what I expected but brilliant for young children.
We then headed to the castle for the 10.35am character performance this was very sweet and good photo opportunities as you can get really close to the stage. We then went back to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and decided to wait the 50 minute wait time, it did go quite quick. It took around 60 minutes in the end but we finally got on the ride. Really this was a bit if a disappointment I thought it would be better than it was after all the hype.
After this we then headed to Hollywood Studios, we headed straight for Indiana Jones and watched this show. We then had some lunch by Aerosmith we just shared a pizza and salad with a cup of water $10.32. After this we went on Aerosmith for our fast pass this still has to be one of my favourite rides. We then had a little wonder around and headed for our last fast pass which was the Motor Lights Action Show which was cancelled the other day due to weather. This was a brilliant show and was great to see all the stunts they do.
After this it started to rain again we will hopefully have a day with no rain fingers crossed. So we decided to head back to hotel and get ready for dinner. While we were at Hollywood studios there were a lot of people dressed up in 1950s clothing, when in line for a cookie ice cream which was amazing, we asked the girls behind us what they were all dressed up for, they told us it was dapper day in America which is an event to celebrate the tradition of stepping out in style, which is held twice a year at the Disney resorts in LA, Orlando and Paris. So that was a little interesting fact for us.
We went to Downtown Disney in the evening and walked past a restaurant called Portobello, we had a quick look at the menu which was Italian and decided to give it a go. We waited 15 minutes for a table and sat at the bar waiting for them to text us to tell us our table was ready. These barman work super quick and it’s fascinating to watch. We went to our table and was served by someone called Nick he was fantastic he was so attentive and always checking we were ok. They being out bread and garlic while you are waiting for your dinner. We both had pasta which was amazing and then ice cream for pudding go for the Nutella ice cream it’s good. The meal was $75 inc tip.
We then went to Magic Kingdom we got there around 9.15pm and nobody was on the parking attendant booths so straight in and parked as close to the front as we could get. We then seen the Celebrate the Magic Show then Wishes Fireworks started this was fantastic and the best fireworks we have seen. We then went for a little wonder and they did the Celebrate the Magic show again, just a little tip you can watch the Celebrate the Magic Show from the side of the castle we watched it from the right hand side as you look at the castle on the bridge and the view was just as good as the front.
We then watched the Electrical Parade on Mainstreet at 11pm and managed to get front row, this was a brilliant parade and loved it.
After this a lot of people leave Magic Kingdom but we hung around as we had the tripod and wanted to take some nice pictures of the castle from the front and back so this is what we done.
We left around 12.30am and went back to the hotel. We were driving to Daytona tomorrow so wanted a good nights sleep.
