Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends!

National Cake Day and Thanksgiving fell on the same day this year so I didn’t need a lot of encouraging to do some thanksgiving cupcakes.  My turkeys were made from fondant icing, the turkey itself being chocolate flavoured.  I then added my turkeys to a vanilla cupcake with a vanilla buttercream coloured green and piped with a Wilton grass nozzle.  For the cupcakes that didn’t have a turkey on I used some candy corn sweets that I purchased whilst in America topped on a chocolate buttercream.

I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving and remember eat cake not turkey! 😉
