Premium Outlets (International Drive), Epcot, Illuminations
I woke up this morning at 6am to a hideous noise of a bird or duck (we wasn’t quite sure what it was) outside and torrential rain. When was the rain going to give up and be sunny. I facetimed with my parents to hear they had been having bad storms too. We was meant to be going to Epcot today however we are going to have a bit of a change of plan due to the weather. So off to Premium Outlets on International Drive, we got there 5 mins before opening time and managed to park easy and then we had to wait for shops to open.
We managed to spend a lot of time and money here and much preferred this outlet to the outlets on Vineland. I got things from Victoria’s Secret, Nike, Converse, Bath and Body Works (all my purchases will be in my shopping post), Sam had a spend up in Ralph Lauren, Timberland and Converse . While we were shopping the sun started to make an appearance finally after all the rain. We had some lunch in the food court at Sbarro, 2 slices of pizza and 2 drinks for $13. After nearly 4 hours there we went back to the room changed and off to Epcot for the afternoon.
When we reached Epcot, we did Spaceship Earth, Test Track, Mission Space and Finding Nemo. We then walked around World Showcase, this is brilliant and definitely recommend a trip here especially when the Food and Wine Festival is on (I think it is all of September). All the little food stalls are brilliant, you work your way through all the different countries round the lake. We had some funnel cake with sugar which was $6.50 and carried on walking round.
We decided to go for dinner in England at the Rose and Crown Pub we had to wait 50 minutes for a table but it was a lovely meal we both had sausage and mash. This is a perfect place to have dinner while the fireworks are on, if you get a seat outside you have a lovely view of the lake. Anyway our meal came to $63, I had alcohol and got asked for ID I didn’t realise they were so strict that you have to carry a copy of your passport round with you and in some cases they ask for two forms of ID so bear that in mind if you are going to have a drink out there. We carried on walking round and the fireworks started at 10pm these were brilliant with laser light to match the fireworks.
After the fireworks we headed for the exit along with the other thousands of people. We thought it would be chaos leaving however we were surprised it was so organised and 15 minutes after reaching our car we were home. Off to bed ready for Animal Kingdom tomorrow.
