Blizzard Beach, Universal Studios, Mall at Millenia, Cheesecake Factory, Premium Outlets International Drive
Woke up 7:30am early again today played on my phone read the paper and waited for Sam to wake up. The sky was a bit grey today so we hoped it would put people off a water park – we were wrong. We arrived at Blizzard Beach at 10am it had literally just opened and already seemed busier than Typhoon Lagoon yesterday. We rented a small locker and two towels this was the same price as yesterday and you got $5 back on return of the locker key. We picked two sunbeds near the wave pool and went off to do the slides before they got very busy the longest we had to wait was 15 minutes for the Double Dipper and that was only because you have to wait for the tubes to comes up the ramp. Sam did Summit Plummet I just wasn’t brave enough and watched from the bottom. After we did all the slides and lazy river we spent some time on sunbeds where we had a cookie and doughnut ($7.44) and went in the wave pool. It then started to rain quite heavy even though we were already wet we decided to call it a day here and went back to hotel to change as we had a lot of things we wanted to get through on our last day.
Back at the room we had last night’s pizza warmed up in the microwave for lunch. We then went to Universal Studios as we really wanted to ride Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket before we left. We got to Universal Studios and the heavens opened again this time the thunder and lightning was so loud and the rain was so heavy, we stayed under cover for a while to let it pass as much as possible. Luckily this time I remembered the ponchos so when it was light enough to go out we carried on walking to universal. Rip Ride Rocket was closed due to weather but as we came here to ride it we sat it out and they did eventually open it again. We also did The Mummy as this was one of our favourite rides too we had a little look about in all the shops which had some good souvenirs to buy. By this time it was 4pm so we left Universal to head for Mall at Millenia it was lovely and quiet and we took our time looking round the shops, we got some things from Abercrombie. I got three jumpers. After we finished shopping we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner we only had to wait around 10 minutes for a table around 6pm. Again the portions were huge I had a crispy chicken burger with fries and Sam had a chicken and mash with broccoli he was very excited about having some green on his plate. Both meals were huge and neither of us managed to finish them. We then got a slice of Orero cheesecake to take away.
After this we had to go back to the hotel as I had forgot my money (I had been using a currency card) oops so we went back dropped off the cheesecake picked up the money and went back to the Premium Outlets on International Drive. This time I picked up a Fossil watch, a jumper from Tommy Hilfiger and two tops from Nike for the gym. After the Outlets we came back to the room and started to pack our stuff 🙁 we then went to the lobby bar for a drink as Sam hadn’t had a drink the whole holiday and he did deserve one with all the driving he had done. Drinks were reasonable it was $26 inc tip for two bottles of Coors Light and a mini bottle of Prosecco. We then listened to the singer in reception who was really good and singing up to date music. After this we went to bed before our final morning in Florida. Oh we also managed to get late checkout to 1pm free of charge which was a bonus 🙂
