Below I have listed six photo spots we found in New York on our visit in February which gave us the opportunity to grab some great photos. Obviously we took hundreds of photographs while we were there but these photos were some of my favourite.
Washington Street, Brooklyn
This was one of my favourite photo spots we found while we were away. It gave you a fantastic shot of Manhattan Bridge between either side of the road. Just be careful of the cars when standing in the middle of the road to get the perfect shot.

Washington Square Park, Manhattan
There are plenty of photo opportunities in Washington Square Park. A lot of people tend to take pictures of the Washington Square Arch which is a great photo, however, if you head to the back of the park you will get a great shot of One World Observatory down the street. I did get a picture of the Arch and also a great picture of one of the street entertainers.

Brooklyn Promenade, Brooklyn
Brooklyn Promenade gives you beautiful shots of the New York Skyline with Brooklyn Bridge. When we were in New York there seemed to be a lot of building work on the edge so there was a few cranes featuring in the picture however it was still beautiful.

One World Observatory
Being 102 floors up in the sky is always going to give you a great photograph opportunity, the only downside to this beautiful view is the reflection on the glass when taking photos, especially on a sunny day but be patient you will eventually get the perfect shot. We went to the top at sunrise and managed to get some day/night shots.

The High Line
The High Line can give you some great street photographs opportunities. While walking along the High Line you can grab some great photos of down the streets along with the road traffic. I was stopping at every street to take a new photograph.

Top of the Rock, Rockefeller Centre
Top of the Rock is one of my favourite viewing spots in New York. I love that you can get photographs of the Empire State Building, One World of Observatory and if you have a very good lens Statue of Liberty in the background and that is just one view. Moving round to the front you can get a beautiful view of Central Park. My favourite picture of all wasn’t outside at Top of the Rock it was in fact inside, there are three windows with the view of the Empire State Building through the Centre window, this picture took me around 30 minutes to get without having to ask someone to move out of the shot, be patient you will get a clear shot eventually.
