These homemade cupcakes are a vanilla sponge with a vanilla buttercream, placed on top of the buttercream is a large pretzel – one from the crisp aisle in the supermarket not the ones from the food trucks in New York 🙂 I would normally use mini pretzels however I picked up large pretzels by accident oops.  Over the large pretzel is a homemade salted caramel sauce.
